International Market Centers (IMC) has hired Shannon Knox, a former vp/technology for Hilton Worldwide, as its new evp/chief technology officer.
Beginning June 3, he will be responsible for IMC’s overall strategy, architecture, delivery and use of technology and IT infrastructure. Knox reports directly to Robert Maricich, IMC chairman and CEO.
Knox joins IMC from Hilton Worldwide, where he served as vp/IT field services and strategic sourcing, responsible for technology operations functions of 700+ corporately-managed hotels globally. Previously, he served as svp/CIO of LXR Luxury Resorts and Hotels where he managed the technology organization, and as vp/CIO for Destination Hotels and Resorts.
“With technology’s increasing importance to our business, we are making significant investments in digital development and are elevating our technology leadership to C-level,” said Maricich. “Shannon has valuable experience in the successful implementation of enterprise architecture designed to reduce friction— internally and externally— across data-rich businesses with considerable scale and velocity.”
