International Market Centers is expanding its business education programming with a new free monthly webinar series.
On January 14, the Market Insights program launches with what IMC describes as timely, actionable and exclusive content as an extension of the programming it presents in connection with the Atlanta, High Point and Las Vegas markets.
Presented as high-level conversations about issues that are affecting businesses now, the webinars can help buyers prepare for markets throughout the year, maximize their time for product discovery on site and support their year-around sourcing, IMC stated. In addition, the webinars will offer CEU credits to maintain certifications from design societies and professional organizations.
On January 14 at 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and 1 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, Market Insights kicks off with a live presentation of the Pantone 2021 Color of the Year by Laurie Pressman, vp of the Pantone Color Institute. She will highlight key color trends for 2021 and provide insight into the Color of the Year, including how it relates to home furnishings, décor, gift, apparel and consumer lifestyles.
Other confirmed Market Insights sessions for the first quarter of 2021 feature, on February 17, Rebecca West, author of Happy Starts at Home sharing products for making the household a sanctuary; and, on March 10, Linda Holt, photographer and design consultant, in a photography webinar. Registration for the webinars will open on the markets’ websites prior to each session, with specific dates to be announced.
“Market Insights confirms IMC thought leadership in business education for the home, gift and furniture industry by expanding our presence throughout the year,” said Dorothy Belshaw, IMC chief customer and marketing officer. “As sourcing shifts to a hybrid throughout the year, so does our programming. Post-pandemic, we will return to immersive in-person events, complemented by robust virtual offerings. During the pandemic and while markets were disrupted, we offered relevant webinars to help designers and retailers get back to business. Our audience confirmed the efficacy of those sessions and have indicated that they want to continue to tap IMC’s thought leadership as they work through recovery.”
