Las Vegas Market announced that its Summer Market, which ran Sunday, July 27, to Thursday, July 31, set a record for the largest number of resources participating in the event’s history, according to host International Market Centers. The Summer Las Vegas Market also scored top marks for attendance, number and diversity of resources, new contacts made, and orders written, the organization stated.
Bob Maricich, International Market Centers CEO, noted that the strong positive reactions to Summer Market from participants result from the phased growth and enhancement of Las Vegas Market over the past two years.
“Just two years into our three-year strategic growth plan, Las Vegas Market has added 1,200 resources and more than doubled its gift and home décor attendance while simultaneously maintaining and growing the existing furniture buyer base.”
Continued growth in temporary exhibitors, as well as increased density in showrooms attracted retailers and interior designers in record numbers, a group that included 77 of the top 100 home furnishings retailers, IMC maintained. Attendance growth in the emerging gift and home décor area more than doubled over two years, the organization asserted. A key growth area is new-to-market retailers, who have been engaged by IMC’s Retail Relations team, it pointed out.
