As of March 24, International Market Centers (IMC) has temporarily closed AmericasMart Atlanta to the public, in accordance with Atlanta’s 14-day shelter in place order, to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart and the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center will also be closed.
“Our main priority is the health and safety of our customers, our team, our families and our community,” said Bob Maricich, IMC CEO. “The situation in Georgia, like all states, is evolving rapidly and we are reacting to new information and sharing it as quickly as possible. As we continue to monitor and implement the advice and input of our constituents and governing bodies, we’re adapting daily to ensure we operate with this priority at heart.”
IMC tenants and staff still will have access to the buildings for essential business support, provided appropriate social distancing is observed. In-progress construction and tenant improvements in individual showrooms in all buildings will continue, although distancing requirements will be implemented.
“These last several weeks have been like nothing we have experienced in recent history,” added Maricich. “We are all navigating an unprecedented and highly fluid situation in real time and appreciate the patience, support and partnership of our tenants and customers. We care deeply about the IMC family and will do our very best to ensure we all come through this as best we can.”
