IMC Touts High Point Virtual Market Participation

The first-ever International Market Centers High Point Virtual Market Experience ended on a high note last week with record engagement, the company stated.

The digital event on the IMC High Point Market website had thousands tuning in to check out the educational content and use the available product discovery tools, the company maintained. Exhibitors reported strong lead generation as well as order writing during the three-week-long event.

Programming included 27 webinars as well as IMC’s first-ever Virtual Showhouse, the IMC Market Snapshot and TrendWatch programs, a Market Preview, an exhibitor product showcase, trade publication previews, and an Instagram Takeover with industry influencers. In total, IMC maintained that it delivered marketing value to 373 of its High Point Market customers via the programming and product discovery tools.

Robust participation led to engagement across the IMC High Point Market website and IMC DesignOn High Point Market social media platforms with triple and quadruple percentage gains in almost every key online category, the company said. The website experienced year-over-year increases in users, up 634%, page views, up 1,745%, and sessions, up 765%, IMC asserted. The associated Facebook page had month-over-month increases in impressions, up 560%, and engagement, up 432%. Instagram engagement increased 123%, IMC added.

As an added benefit of the Virtual Market experience, retailers and designers could access new and best-selling products through Catalog Connexion, a keyword-searchable catalog library powered International Market Center’s digital division. Both content and engagement were robust during the virtual event, IMC noted, with more than 550 vendor catalogs representing 54,234 pages of products available for browsing.
