After 30 years of being the face of Vacu Vin and the International Innovation Company (IIC), Bernd Schneider has officially transferred ownership of the family business to the next generation, his son, Patrick Schneider, president and CEO of the company.
Patrick Schneider has led the company for the last seven years, forming a range of marketing and product development efforts. He recently spearheaded Dutch Creative Brands, a consolidation of the Vacu Vin wine accessories and barware brand and the newly developed Tomorrow’s Kitchen kitchenware brand.
Patrick Schneider stated, “Now it is time to take the next step and take up the reins of the company. In recent years not only has the world changed but so has our organization. The company is constantly evolving in order to meet the demands of the future. Our current focus is to grow the company in terms of ideas, products and market share and to create new employment opportunities for individuals who sometimes experience barriers to the labor market.”
The company also noted that going forward, the focus for Dutch Creative Brands will be to actively seek to add more brands or companies to the organization, in order to extend its reach in the global market.
Recently, IIC appointed Stephanie Christiansen as vp/North America sales, for which she will be responsible for launching and expanding the Dutch Creative Brands sales concept in the region, as well as growing sales opportunities for both Vacu Vin and Tomorrow’s Kitchen.
Bernd Schneider said he will remain associated with the company and will focus on new initiatives.
