The National Retail Federation will close its 2019 Retail’s Big Show convention with a keynote presentation by Magnolia’s Chip and Joanna Gaines.
The presentation, which will be made with entertainment executive and entrepreneur Scooter Braun, will be part of the three-day event kicking off on January 13 at New York City’s Javits Convention Center. In successive fireside chats, the Gaineses and Braun will address “Brand Builders: Balancing Business and Creativity to Make a Cultural Connection” during the final session of the conference on January 15, 2019.
The Gaines duo will join a speaking lineup that also includes Target CEO Brian Cornell, BJ’s CEO Chris Baldwin, Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen, Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly, Lowe’s CEO Marvin Ellison, Macy’s CEO Jeff Gennette, Alibaba Group president J. Michael Evans, Ikea U.S. president Lars Petersson, Walgreens Boots Alliance Co-COO Alex Gourlay, Walmart evp/enterprise chief information officer Clay Johnson, Kohl’s evp/product development Michael Gilbert, Ulta Beauty vp/store operations and new store development Jeff Halverson, and Home Depot in-store experience and visual merchandising director Albert Vita.
