The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) has announced that Bruce Josten, evp/government affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will be the keynote speaker for the NACDS Political Action Committee breakfast during the association’s annual meeting.
The NACDS Annual Meeting will take place April 25-28, at The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL, and Josten will address attendees on Monday, April 27.
Josten serves as the second ranking officer and senior government and political affairs executive of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, managing six major divisions within the organization, including congressional and public affairs, economic policy, technology and regulatory affairs and political affairs.
“Bruce is known as a driving force behind the U.S. Chamber’s work to re-write the rules of political engagement, at one of the most politically volatile times in our nation’s history,” said NACDS president and CEO Steven Anderson. “One of the objectives of the NACDS-PAC breakfast each year is to help attendees identify key factors that are shaping the policy and political environment. It is perhaps more clear than ever before that understanding this playing field demands an understanding of the U.S. Chamber’s determination and influence.”
