Jura Advances Brand Growth Initiatives

At the Jura Elektroapparate AG online press conference from Niederbuchsiten, Switzerland, CEO Emanuel Probst reported that the company had record sales for 2019, with 5.1% growth in revenue and 4.7% growth in units.

Jura is sold in 50 countries, with the U.S. as one of its key markets. Product innovation continues to drive growth, including the company’s new award-winning ENA 8 automatic coffee machine; the E8, the most successful model in the company’s history; the S8 from the premium segment; and the X8 from the professional range.

Digitization has also played a key role in Jura’s growth. “Jura Live has brought expert, personalized advice to the Internet and to premium points of sale around the globe,” said Probst. “Two years ago, we launched the Jura Operating Experience (J.O.E.) which allows our coffee machines to be operated via smartphone. Now they can be controlled via Siri and Apple Watch as well.”

For the first time, the press conference was held via live stream rather than a live event at the corporate headquarters.

“Sometimes the future comes sooner than you expert,” said Probst. “The coronavirus crisis will give added impetus to the digitalization processes that are already underway.” He cited a variety of marketing initiatives and the company’s ability to use Jura Live and other digital assets to continue to grow the brand in 2020.
