Target Corp. has announced that Tom Kadlec will join the company as svp/infrastructure and operations. The retailer also named Joel Crabb as vp/architecture.
Kadlec will oversee modernization and enhancement of Target’s technology foundation. Kadlec was previously group technology director for Tesco PLC.
Crabb will supervise enterprise architecture, agile practices and application program interfaces. Crabb was chief architect and head of digital engineering at Best Buy.
“Tom and Joel bring decades of technology and engineering experience to Target, along with proven track records of building and implementing cutting-edge technologies for retailers,” said Mike McNamara, Target chief information officer. “Adding leaders of this caliber will propel the progress we’re making to strengthen Target’s engineering muscle, enhance our foundational systems and bring new technology innovations to life for our guests.”
