LAS VEGAS— With an eye toward expanding its presence with hardware and home center retailers, Kalorik at the National Hardware Show, here, will feature its recently released electric barbecue grill along with a selection
of small electrics.
The 2017 show at the Las Vegas Convention Center will mark the first time the company will exhibit at the annual event.
“We’re getting into grilling and the outdoor category and want to use the show to showcase our new grill along with other items,” said Uri Murad,
CEO of Kalorik.
In addition to the company’s new grill, the company will also present
a host of countertop kitchen electrics including its assortment of air fryers, meat grinders and food slicers.
The focus, Murad noted, will be on the company’s new Electrosear deluxe electric barbecue grill, which debuted in March at the International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago.
With a look reminiscent of a propane barbecue, company officials previously said the electric grill was designed for those consumers that live in a multiple family dwelling such as a condominium or apartment and are prohibited from using an open flame grill.
The grill is equipped with electric cooking plates with two independent zones, two stainless steel shelves, a large storage cabinet with shelf and a 3-inch drawer with keep warm function. The grills are coated with Whitford ceramic coating that is said to be highly scratch resistant.
Offering 1,800-watts of power, the grill can be heated to temperatures of up to 500° Fahrenheit. Suggested retail price is $499.99.
Since debuting at the Home + Housewares Show, Murad said initial feedback from retailers has been positive. With the grill set to be in stock in April, he noted that the company is also looking to get feedback from consumers as well.
“We think it’s a unique product, but getting feedback and insight from the end user and seeing how they are cooking with the product is valuable information,” Murad said.
