Kaz Identifies Top Ten ‘Sweatiest’ Cities

Kaz, the manufacturer of licensed Honeywell fans, teamed up with Environmental Health & Engineering, an environmental consulting company, to rank the 10 “sweatiest” cities across the United States. Tampa, Miami and Houston were the top three hottest cities.

The rankings, according to the company, reveal cities that each have a unique ability to trap heat in the summer months, which contributes to overall discomfort and the desire to cool off.

The company’s top ten sweatiest U.S. cities, based on review of data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association’s National Climatic Data Center and the U.S. Census Bureau:

  1. Tampa, FL
  2. Miami, FL
  3. Houston, TX
  4. San Diego, CA
  5. Orlando, FL
  6. Washington, DC
  7. Raleigh, NC
  8. Los Angeles, CA
  9. Dallas, TX
  10. Charlotte, NC

Kaz supported the study in support of its recently released Honeywell Turbo on the Go! Portable Folding Fan ($11.99), a USB and battery operated fan that provides a strong airflow that the company said can be felt up to three feet away. The fan has a foldable design that stands upright and pivots for personalized cooling on-the-go. The fan has a handle that enables it to be easily transported or hung.
