Keurig Debuts K-Mug Pods

Keurig Green Mountain is debuting its K-Mug pods, which are designed to brew a large travel mug-size of coffee and other beverages.

Currently available exclusively on, the new K-Mug pods are designed for use when brewing 12-, 14-, and 16-ounce beverages. Similar to K-Carafe and Vue pods, K-Mug pods are recyclable. The pod’s plastic cup is made from polypropylene (#5) plastic, and can separated from the lid and filter for recycling, according to the company.

“When we launched Keurig 2.0, one of the key insights we heard from consumers is that they want to brew more: they want to brew larger quantities of coffee, and they also want more brewing options to accommodate their varying drink occasions throughout the day,” said Mark Wood, Keurig’s chief product officer of hot systems.
