KitchenAid has introduced a new Spiralizer attachment for its iconic stand mixer. With a suggested retail price of $129.99, the Spiralizer is said to take advantage of the power and hands-free operation of the stand mixer.
The Spiralizer attachment includes five blades and offers nine combinations of spiralizing, slicing, peeling and coring. A fine spiral blade creates a thin noodle-like strand similar to spaghetti. A medium blade spiralizes potatoes or zucchini. Separate slicing blades can be used for creating spirals of fruits or vegetables, such as sweet potatoes, apples or pears. The Spiralizer attachment can also be operated with several functions at once, including peeling, slicing and coring.
“With this new attachment there are virtually no limits to how fruits and vegetables can be used in healthy and interesting ways,” said Beth Robinson, senior brand experience manager for KitchenAid.
The Spiralizer attachment features metal construction and comes with a storage case for organization of both the unit and its dishwasher-safe accessories, the company noted.
