As coronavirus continues to create shopping concerns, Kmart is partnering with ScriptDrop to introduce a service that provides prompt home delivery of prescriptions within a 10-mile radius of its pharmacy operations, Monday through Friday.
With ScriptDrop’s service, Kmart Pharmacy customers can remain safe at home while continuing to receive the medications they need to maintain their health. In addition, all deliveries will be contact-free at least for the immediate future. ScriptDrop delivers prescriptions to a recipient’s door, and no one has to sign for the delivery.
Customers within 10 miles of a Kmart pharmacy can get same day delivery, if the order comes in before 11 a.m., and those within 150 miles can get next day delivery. Customers receive a ready for pickup text message once their prescription is prepared, offering the delivery option, with a link to follow. They can then confirm delivery information and pay an $8 delivery fee.
“The need for prescription delivery has never been greater,” said Jennifer Speares Lehman, registered pharmacist and divisional vp/Kmart Pharmacy. “Vulnerable patients need a way to get their essential medications without leaving home, as all Americans have been cautioned to continue social distancing for the time being.”
