Kroger Plans Delivery Expansion Along East Coast

Kroger is planning the next two customer fulfillment centers it is opening with the help of partner Ocado, a British web-based grocery retailer, in the Mid-Atlantic and Central Florida regions.

Kroger recently stated that it would develop the company’s first customer fulfilment center using Ocado technology, an automated warehouse facility with digital and robotic capabilities, in Monroe, OH, near its Cincinnati headquarters. Kroger has committed to building 20 CFCs with Ocado, the company noted, to advances its ability to provide customers with “anything, anytime and anywhere.”

“Kroger is excited to partner with Ocado, one of the most innovative, advanced companies in the world, to redefine the grocery shopping experience for customers along the East Coast,” said Rodney McMullen, Kroger’s chairman and CEO.
