Valeria Hiltenbrand, a five year veteran with Kuhn Rikon AG in Rikon, Switzerland, has been promoted to head of design for the U.S. division. She is relocating to Kuhn Rikon’s U.S. headquarters in Novato, CA, and will report to Chris Robason, managing director, Kuhn Rikon USA.
According to the company, contemporary design is a significant part of the Kuhn Rikon heritage, and the U.S. market is their most important market for kitchen tools.
Hiltenbrand brings with her experience in development, design and production of Kuhn Rikon kitchen gadgets and cooking tools. Her previous experience includes product development and design for two different companies, where she developed soft goods for German-based Crumpler and protective equipment for Technology Engineering Center Asia, based in Switzerland.
Hiltenbrand brings a global perspective to her career. She has worked and trained in Switzerland, Vietnam, Brazil and Ecuador. She is fluent in English, German, Spanish and Portuguese. She also studied industrial design at Zurich University of the Arts for four years.
