Las Vegas First Look Guide Debuts Online

The Las Vegas Market has launched a digital pre-release of its proprietary First Look Guide prior to the program’s unveiling at the winter market, running from January 28 to February 1.

The pre-release guide offers an early look at the four primary design, style and color trends identified for the market, designated as: Romantics & Realists, Easy Now: Housewares & Dining, Year of the Dog, and Storytellers.

New merchandise from more than 170 Las Vegas Market exhibitors will bring key trends to life in a variety of ways through the program via the First Look Guide, available online now and in print at market, product vignettes mounted in the show’s Grand Plaza courtyard, and as part of a seminar presentation.

The planned vignettes are:

  • Romantics & Realists. Paint brands have released top color picks for 2018, and the hues range from fiery reds to watery blues to stately grays to atmospheric neutrals. Together, they recall the palettes of romantic and realist painters.
  • Easy Now: Housewares & Dining. Benjamin Moore’s 2018 Color of the Year, Caliente AF 290, is a backdrop for Easy Now, manifested as casual dining and housewares that set a table for weekend brunch.
  • Year of the Dog. The year 2018 is the Chinese zodiac calendar year of the dog, and First Look will celebrate four-legged companions in a playful vignette that crosses all product categories.
  • Storytellers. Spotlighting makers, Storytellers is this season’s nod to handmade, fair-trade and certified home and gift products, and the creativity, craftsmanship and good causes that inform the stories behind them.
