Las Vegas Market, ASD Marketweek Debut ‘Two For Tuesday’

Las Vegas Market and ASD Marketweek, which offers a range of merchandise from apparel to home to automotive, have launched a collaboration. Dubbed “Two for Tuesday,” the initiative brings together the collective resources of the collaborating trade shows and thousands of resources, the markets stated in a joint announcement.

Two for Tuesday will occur on August 4 from 1 to 6 p.m. At that time, free and continuous shuttle service will run between the Las Vegas Convention Center and World Market Center, the site of ASD Marketweek. Each show will honor the other’s attendee badges on the Two for Tuesday date, providing free and easy access to both, the markets maintained.

Minimal overlap between ASD exhibitors and Las Vegas Market showrooms and brands means that participants can visit 4,500 unique resources, the companies asserted, creating an incremental buying opportunity for global retailers across differentiated, but related, categories.

“By partnering with Las Vegas Market, we are pleased to be able to offer buyers even more value and choices by attending two unique markets in Las Vegas,” said Karalynn Sprouse, evp, Emerald Expositions. “ASD is known as the international marketplace to find trendy and affordable merchandise, offering the opportunity for higher margins at retail.”

Dorothy Belshaw, president of gift and home decor for International Market Centers, Las Vegas Market’s host, said, “Our collaboration with ASD provides a unique opportunity for buyers to find entirely new products and our tenants to reach new channels of distribution. By bringing the collective resources of our market together with those of ASD, we are helping to maximize their investment and their time at market. Since we started this market 10 years ago, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to seek out ways to add value and improve the market experience for our growing customer base.”
