International Market Centers (IMC) will launch the First Look Summer Focus: 2020 Vision at the upcoming summer Las Vegas Market, scheduled to be held July 28 to August 1.
The market’s latest trends preview program is curated and edited by Julie Smith Vincenti. The First Look Summer Focus: 2020 Vision will focus on two broad themes: Personal Style and Easy Sophistication.
For the 13th annual trends program, Vincenti said she and the market team have created new and engaging product displays that will be located throughout the World Market Center Las Vegas campus and discussed in seminars and during showroom tours over the duration of the market.
“From all vantage points, these 360-view presentations will underscore the breadth of categories that buyers and designers can source only at Las Vegas Market. What’s more, we’re putting our first ever First Look color palette for 2019/2020— comprised of complementary colors, eco-aware hues and colors that empower maximalism, color drenching and curated expressions— to work as backdrops for all of our displays,” she said.
With color playing such a significant role in this year’s trend displays, Vincenti said that is why it was important to craft the 2019/2020 color palette, which is a reflection of the creamy pastels and similar, happy upbeat hues that have been popping up in housewares.
In addition, attendees will also come across microtrends such as Maximalist Decorating, a confident, bold mix of colors and patterns, incongruous yet harmonious; and Color Drenching, presenting a single hue interwoven with a variety of related tints and shades.
