The Las Vegas Market has unveiled its First Look trend forecast for the summer market, running from July 29 to August 2. It will highlight four central themes: Purify, Micro, Wholehearted and Celebrate.
All Las Vegas Market exhibitors may submit related products, including furniture, home décor and gifts, by May 15 for consideration in the First Look display, educational seminar and market companion guide.
First Look trend presentations feature curated product showcases reflecting the diversity of styles, prices, and categories available at market. The four key trends identified for the summer show:
- Purify. As consumers embrace wellness, Purify showcases finishes, forms and patterns that are as fashion-forward and reference the outdoors.
- Micro. Focused on small-scale living, Micro will highlight chairs, tables, home entertainment consoles, office furniture, storage solutions, home décor, office accessories, personal accessories, housewares, tabletop and other products designed to suit non-traditional room dimensions.
- Wholehearted. A trend that builds on last year’s showcase of lush, verdurous greens, Wholehearted expands the palette to include earthy blues and wholesome purples in an equally hearty color presentation.
- Celebrate. A holiday trend, Celebrate relates to special occasions and the procession of seasons as rendered in gift, home décor and gardening products.
Products accepted for First Look will feature in pre-market promotional literature sent to buyers and interior designers as well as in social media posts and in an image-rich publication focusing on these directional trend stories to be distributed at all registration areas at the Las Vegas World Market Center during the show.
In addition, Smith Vincenti will host a free, CEU-accredited First Look seminar, on Monday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a format tailored to cross-category buyers and lifestyle stores.
