Lasko Advances Fan Lineup With Connected Functions

Lasko Products is spotlighting an array of new portable fans utilizing new technology, including smart home models with Bluetooth capabilities and units featuring fresh air ionizer functionality.

The Electrically Reversible Twin Window Fan with Bluetooth from Lasko (shown below) allows users to control the fan using a smart phone. The fan features two independently controlled motors for intake, exhaust or air exchange, and includes expanding side panels for a safe custom fit in double hung, casement, or sliding windows sized 24- to 32-inches wide and 12-inches high or larger.

An easy-to-read digital display has adjustable brightness levels, and an integrated thermostat senses room temperature and turns fan on or off to maintain comfort. The fan features an electronic eight-hour timer and three quiet speeds, as well as being equipped with the Lasko Blue Plug, a patented safety fuse technology. Suggested retail price is $79.99.

Lasko also is featuring Bluetooth technology in its Wind Curve Tower Fan, allowing the unit to be controlled with a smart phone or tablet. The Lasko Connect app makes setting up and using the Bluetooth function on the fan a quick and easy process, the company said.

The Wind Curve fan features a slim profile and space-saving design that blends seamlessly into a home’s décor. The high-reaching tower fan design, three quiet speeds, and optional oscillation provide maximum air delivery and full-room coverage; an electronic timer option allows the fan to automatically turn off after a specified period of time. A built-in carry handle makes it easy to move the tower fan from room to room, and the unit comes with the Lasko Blue Plug, safety fuse technology. Suggested retail is $79.99.

Two other Wind Curve Tower Fans feature Lasko’s Fresh Air Ionizer option: Model 2551 features a 42-inch high-reaching tower design for maximum air delivery in a space-saving footprint. The fan is designed with refined metallic accents and the Wind Curve profile, and offers three quiet speeds and widespread oscillation, allowing users to customize the air flow. An auto-off timer function can allow the fan to run for a selected period of time, from 30 minutes to 7.5 hours. The Fresh Air Ionizer option adds millions of negative ions to the air, creating a fresh air feeling, the company said. A multi-function remote controls the power, oscillation, fan speed, timer and ionization functions.

The Wind Curve model 2554 has the same features and Fresh Air Ionizer option, but with distinctive wood-grain accents. Suggested retail on both models is $69.99.
