Le Creuset is bringing a piece of France to the U.S. this year. The company is debuting Provence, a purple hue and a nod to French lavender fields.
The company gave retail channels a sneak peek at the new color at the recent winter markets, but the collection in its entirety will be showcased at the International Home + Housewares Show.
“France remains the spiritual home of this beloved brand and the physical home of our foundry where all of our cast iron products are made. Provence, our newest color in market, is inspired by the iconic lavender fields and sunlight throughout the southern part of France,” said Christopher Scinto, vp/marketing, Le Creuset.
According to the company, the light purple shade will be available across all of the housewares and cookware categories that the company offers. This will include cast iron, kitchen tools, utensils, tea kettles, stoneware and stockpots.
Additionally, Le Creuset will be launching a supplemental product line to the new Provence collection. The company has designed a limited edition collection of new products decorated with a Provence applique.
According to the company, the Provence Applique collection will include a 4.5-quart Dutch oven, which will carry a suggested retail price of $350. The line will also have a 1.7-quart au gratin dish, which is set to carry a suggested retail price of $60. The dish is made of stoneware.
Both of the new limited edition products will be sold online at Le Creuset.com, at Le Creuset Signature Stores and at high-end retailers nationwide beginning June 2018.
