Le Creuset has debuted its signature oval casserole dish, which is designed to go from stovetop to oven to table.
The new dishes include tight-fitting lids and easy-to-grip side handles, and are designed for a multitude of kitchen tasks, whether baking desserts, oven-roasting meats, broiling fish or simply marinating before cooking. It can double as a roaster or braiser, and its shape is ideal for casseroles, lasagna, fish, and long cuts of meat, according to Le Creuset.
The exterior enamel is shock-resistant to prevent chipping and cracking, while the inside has a sand-colored interior enamel with a smooth finish that promotes caramelization, prevents sticking and resists stains, Le Creuset said. The dome-shaped lid locks in flavor by promoting continuous circulation of heat and moisture and the stainless steel knob is oven safe.
The casserole dish is available in Cerise, Oyster, white, flame, meringue, Indigo and Marseille colors and has a suggested retail price of $280.
