Le Creuset has recently joined the Cookware Manufacturers Association (CMA). Le Creuset’s addition to the organization brings the association membership to a total of 32, said Hugh Rushing, CMA executive vice president.
“The CMA is pleased to announce Le Creuset as the newest addition to the CMA,” said CMA president Bob Reichenbach, of Lifetime Brands. “A classic brand with a historic gourmet heritage, Le Creuset is a welcome addition to our organization; and we look forward to working together for the benefit of the cookware industry.”
Steve Jones, vice president of marketing for Le Creuset, said, “Considering the fact that both Le Creuset and the CMA were founded in the 1920s, I suppose the most appropriate comment I could make upon Le Creuset joining the CMA is that it’s about time! While this membership may have been a long time in coming, we are excited to now be a member and look forward to partnering to promote growth in our vital industry for decades to come.”
The CMA includes almost all major cookware brands in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, Rushing noted.
