Lenox Expands Wainwright Brand With Casual Collection

Lenox Corporation has expanded the Wainwright brand by Michael Wainwright with the introduction of a new line designed for the casual lifestyle of today’s consumer.

According to the company, the artisanal Crafted by Wainwright collection is a more versatile and accessible array of dinnerware, complementary to the original Michael Wainwright line. All pieces within the line are dishwasher and microwave safe for everyday use.

“The time is right for Lenox and Michael to introduce an everyday collection,” said Michele Barbone, CMO of Lenox Corporation. “His main line continues to grow at retail around the country, and the Millennial consumer is hungry for his style and artisanship. The introduction of the everyday Crafted by Wainwright will make them very happy and bring Michael’s design touch to a wider audience.”

Crafted by Wainwright includes two dinnerware collections: Pompeii Blu and Boho. Pompeii Blu features a Mediterranean inspired dining and entertaining collection in hues of cobalt and white with touches of gold. The collection is inspired by the patterns and designs formed from the ceramic tile floors in the city of Pompeii. It’s casual and modern with abstract warm patterns and color as vivid as the Mediterranean sea, the company noted.

For Boho, Wainwright utilized his hand-worked textures and use of his own glaze recipes. It features three designs, Boho Garden, Boho Beach and Boho Earth, featuring soft and neutral colors combined with nature inspired texture.

The Crafted by Wainwright collection debuts in stores this spring, and a larger array— including glassware and flatware— will be introduced in the fall.
