LG Electronics is returning to the U.S. floor care business.
The company recently announced the global launch of a new vacuum cleaner line that will incorporate such features as the company’s “DualForce” suction and Kompressor technology. According to the company, these advanced features pick up dirt and debris across a wide suction area, compact the bin contents to hold more, and allow for easy disposal of compacted dust.
“LG home appliance innovations provide consumers with something better in home care,” said Peter Reiner, senior vice president, marketing, LG Electronics USA.. “Our new vacuum cleaner line-up, which incorporates industry-leading technology, such as DualForce suction and our patented Kompressor system with a larger dust bin, is the next step in helping consumers keep a clean and healthy home.”
LG’s new LuV200 and LuV300 vacuum cleaners employ its DualForce suction technology consisting of two additional air pathways to pick up from both sides of the vacuum head in addition to the traditional center section. LG’s patented Kompressor technology utilizes, what the company claims is, “the world’s first motorized compression system and a larger bin to compress the dust intake to hold three times more household dust than non-compressor models.”
The new units also feature LG’s Click ‘N Go wand. The vacuum’s radio-frequency wand allows consumers to control the unit remotely from the wand when it is detached from the base, making it easy to clean stairs, upholstery, and other hard-to-reach areas. Also included is a pet hair tool with an air-turbine powered horsehair dusting brush. The top-of-the line LuV300B features the industry’s longest cleaning reach, with an extra-long 40-foot cord and 15-foot hose. The LuV300B is also certified asthma & allergy friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA).
LG’s new vacuum cleaner units will be available this spring with suggested retails of $399 for the LuV300B, available in Riviera Blue and $299 for the LuV200R, available in Wild Cherry Red.
