Taylor Brands, a division of Lifetime Brands, has put a focus on power sources, readability and ultra-fine measurements for its latest lineup of kitchen measurement tools and gadgets. The expanded lineup includes new thermometers and food scales.
“This year, for kitchen, digital products tend to be outpacing the market. We always look for ways to help the home cook make wonderful meals, prepared correctly, and safely. If we can help the consumer utilize kitchen measurement easily, they will use the product and will have better results because of it,” said Liz Wentland, svp/Taylor Brands, Lifetime Brands.
The new products include the Digital LED Thermometer. According to Taylor, it has a super bright 0.5-inch display and is easy to read in any light at any angle. The “hold” button allows the temperature to be locked on the display even when the thermometer is removed from the food, while the “power save” mode helps to conserve battery life. It’s also accurate with a temperature range of -40°F to 450°F/-40°C to 232°C.
Also new to the temperature measurement assortment is the Programmable Wired Probe Thermometer. It is said to monitor the exact temperatures of meat, poultry or any food without opening the oven door. The alarm signals the end of preset cooking time, or when desired internal food temperature is reached to ensure ideal results. The thermometer can also stand up for display for countertop use.
In addition, the new Taylor USB Rechargeable Precision Food Scale is designed to be used without batteries, and instead comes with a USB charging port. The scale is said to hold power for over a week of normal use. The removable platform is stain-resistant and easy to clean. The scale’s tare function weighs multiple ingredients in the same container, while the “hold” feature locks in the last weight.
