Fresh ingredients are getting a hand in the kitchen from the latest kitchen tools and gadgets from Chef’n, a division of Lifetime Brands.
The Chef’n Silkster Corn Brush is designed to help consumers get rid of the silk, said the company. The ergonomic design fits comfortably in the hand, and the bristles hug the cob to remove silk from between each kernel. The brush can also be used to clean carrots, squash and cucumbers.
The Chef’n Twist ‘n Core Pineapple Tool features a twist design that makes slicing through a pineapple quick and simple. To use, consumers can align the tool with the center of the pineapple, twist the ratcheting handle into the pineapple to core. When the base is reached, press the easy release button, twist to detach, and remove the fruit with an upright pull.
Also new is the Chef’n QuickQuad Produce Wedger. The tool is designed to quickly and safely quarter carrots, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, grapes, strawberries and other produce. The pusher stabilizes produce for uniform slices. To use, consumers can remove the pusher and place the fruit or vegetable into the tube. Then, press the pusher down to create wedges.
