The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) has assembled a roster of Licensing University educational sessions for this year’s Licensing Expo.
The 2016 conference program will feature 20 seminars exploring a broad range of topics for licensing professionals. LIMA will also continue its roundtable series of 20 short, interactive discussions on hot topics in business.
This year’s seminars include: “Licensed Products and Digital Marketing: Making It Work,” “Crowdfunding: A How-To for Licensors and Licensees,” “Basics of Fashion Licensing,” “The Art and Science of Competitive Shopping,” and “The Art and Business of Licensed App Development.”
The conference program also offers a strategic look at industry segments, including corporate branding, legal, art, international, and digital licensing, as well as a full day of “Basics” programming for industry newcomers. The Digital Media Licensing Summit will also be held on June 20.
The roundtable discussions on June 22 will enable attendees to engage in small group discussions with experts on topics such as 3D printing, food and beverage licensing, accounting issues, how to negotiate a licensing deal, and whether a brand is ready for licensing, among others.
“This year’s extensive Licensing University programming demonstrates our commitment to providing all members of our industry, at all levels of experience, with can’t miss learning opportunities,” said Charles Riotto, LIMA president. “Our goal is for participants to come away with invaluable insight that they can apply to their businesses and a deeper understanding of all the exciting prospects that exist in licensing.”
Licensing University takes place during the Licensing Expo, from June 20 to 23, 2016, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
