As part of the annual Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, the Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association recognized several retailers, brands and home goods during its International Licensing Awards.
Hot Topic was named retailer of the year for its Dr. Who licensed product presentation. In the licensed product category, Pottery Barn won a LIMA award for home decor for its Star Wars Millennium Falcon Bed.
In the appliances, automotive, electronics, hardware, housewares and paint category, the Sherwin-Williams Co. won the award for its HGTV Home paint.
Winners in 20 categories were announced during LIMA’s annual awards program. In terms of licensing programs, Star Wars and Dr. Who were among the multiple award winners. Other licensed brands that garnered awards at the event included Downton Abbey, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Hopkins, Girl Scouts of the USA, Candy Crush, Peppa Pig, Corona, The Walking Dead and the National Football League.
