Linon Home Decor’s colorful stool and ottoman introductions for the Summer Las Vegas Market aimed to demonstrate that size, function and fun all mean something to consumers.
Now combined with the long-affiliated Powell Home Fashions business, Linon made a statement in an ottoman/stool group featured up front in the company’s Las Vegas World Market Center showroom. It demonstrated how consumers could enliven rooms using accents that also make for more comfortable and flexible seating, given that their scale makes them easy to position as required anywhere in a room. By mixing in gray/brown, blue, pink, green and orange upholstery, Linon made the point that, even if core furniture has lately become more transitional, consumers continue responding to color as a way of brightening the home around major furnishings pieces.
Construction played a role in making the seating designs more interesting, too, for example, in the use of flower forms topping stools that could double as ottomans, as in the Flower vanity stool; and more elaborate fabric applications in ottomans that could double as stools, as in the Amour pleated round ottoman set.
