Living Style Group, a company with divisions including Whalen Furniture, True Innovations and Kenas Home, has struck a deal to manufacture, supply and distribute Thomasville furniture in the U.S. and globally.
The Living Style Group partnered with Thomasville label owner Authentic Brands Group in the deal. Authentic Brands Group also controls the Henredon and Drexel brands as part of a portfolio that also includes Nautica, Elvis Presley and Jones New York.
According to sources at the company, Living Style will initially focus on reengagement with core Thomasville dealers and expand out its revitalization efforts through furniture stores and mass market retailers. HH Global Group, which previously operated Thomasville, entered bankruptcy in 2018 and divested the brand.
The Thomasville focus for the foreseeable future is on case goods and fresh designs consistent with the brand’s heritage but with updating for today’s market, the company said.
Living Style emerged this summer as a rebranded operation from LF Products, a Fung Group company. The rebrand occurred after the completion of Li & Fung’s strategic divestment of its three product vertical divisions, furniture, sweaters and beauty in 2018 to form LH Pegasus, which is 45% owned by Hony Capital and 55% owned by the Fung Group.
