In the continued debut of pieces into its Legacy Series of cast iron cookware, Lodge Cast Iron is bringing a fish pan to the market.
The Legacy Series was created in 2018 to reintroduce retired pieces. The company plans to release one from the vault every year, re-mastered to meet the needs of today’s cast iron users. The first piece added to the Legacy Series was the company’s Fluted Cake Pan.
According to the company, the original fish pan was first introduced in the early ’60s and discontinued in the early 2000s. Now, Lodge has updated the product for the modern home cook. The pan’s walls have been reduced, making it lighter and easier to carry, the company said. It also now comes pre-seasoned and ready to use out of the packaging. Additionally, the company removed the feet, which were on the bottom of the older model. Lodge has also included steel bail handles to allow users to lift and carry the pan with ease.
It will be available on February 26.
