Macy’s has revamped its loyalty program, Star Rewards, which will operate on three member and benefit tiers, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
When they use their Macy’s card, beginning October 2, customers will experience a more engaging shopping experience as they encounter the new loyalty program in action, according to the retailer.
Under the new program, cardholders get an automatic upgrade to the next tier when annual spend reaches a new level. Customers who spend $1,200 or more annually with their store credit card qualify for Platinum membership and will receive 25% off any day they choose with Star Pass coupons and free shipping on any purchase with no minimum spend. In addition, they will earn 5% back in rewards on every purchase and, once they spend $200, will get $10 in Star Money that can be used immediately.
Gold-level customers who spend between $500 and $1,199 annually with their Macy’s credit card receive 25% off any day they choose with Star Pass coupons and free shipping on any purchase with no minimum spend. Silver-level customers who spend up to $499 annually using their credit card will receive 25% off any day they choose with the coupons.
“Macy’s customers have high expectations for their shopping experience and earning and keeping their loyalty is now more important than ever,” said Jeff Gennette, Macy’s CEO. “We listened to our customers, and with the reinvention of Macy’s Star Rewards, we are delivering a loyalty program that will strengthen our relationships and better engage, reward and grow our best customers.”
