Merritt Designs Expands Melamine Tableware Assortment

Merritt Designs has expanded its assortment of melamine tableware with the addition of several new collections.

The new Clamshell line is designed by artist Kate Nelligan, expanding her partnership with Merritt. The company said the graphic simplicity is featured in a navy and white nautically-inspired color palette across heavy-duty melamine. With a high contrast motif, the plates, bowls and serving pieces of Clamshell allow for outdoor dining and entertainment.

Another new design from Nelligan is the Seagulls collection. It is featured in a coastal blue with seagull motifs to create a whimsical design on a serving tray.

The new Grasscloth assortment is described by the company as a presentation of a woven visual and textural design that hints at a rustic modern look. The irregular shaped dinnerware and serving pieces are designed to add interest and complement other nature-inspired design motifs.

Another new natural design is the Banana Leaf/Tropical Leaf assortment. The melamine dinnerware is said to be emblazoned with bold leaf designs in green and natural colorations. The motif is created with watercolor style artistry, the company noted.
