With the debut of a new booth at the International Home + Housewares Show this year, Meyer will also showcase line extensions in several of its major brands, including Ayesha Curry.
Launched in 2017, the Ayesha Curry collection will see some new extensions this year and new color. Dubbed Basil, the color will be available in both the Ayesha Curry aluminum cookware line as well as the stoneware collection.
“She hand-picked the color herself and it was inspired by Greenery, Pantone’s 2017 Color Of The Year,” said Jeffrey Kruskall, vp/business development, Meyer. “She is effortless and chic as a person and that is what we want this brand to portray.”
Also new in the Ayesha Curry line is cast iron. Available in four colors— brown sugar, twilight teal, sienna red and French vanilla— the cast iron products are broiler and oven safe to 500°F. Interior dimples on the Dutch oven lid reduces need for basting, retaining and redistributing moisture, the company said, while the porcelain enamel cooking surface ensures even heating. The line includes a 10-inch skillet, a 12-inch skillet, a 10-inch square grill pan and a 6-quart Dutch oven.
“Cast iron is her favorite fabrication of cookware to use when she is cooking,” said Kruskall.
The brand’s stoneware line, which is designed to go from the oven to the table, is designed with a personal touch— the pattern of the stoneware represents the heart that Curry makes in her signature.
The stoneware goes through a hand-glazing process so each piece is unique, the company said, and the color glaze is stain resistant for easy cleaning. Microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe, the stoneware line can also be placed in the oven up to 450°F.
The Ayesha Curry line will also debut kitchen tools and beverageware.
