Meyer Renames Ayesha Curry Line, Adds New Color

Meyer U.S. has renamed the Ayesha Curry housewares brand to Ayesha.

The line made its debut at the International Home + Housewares Show in March 2017 as part of Meyer’s collection of celebrity brands. It was developed to bring an added dimension to its existing celebrity roster, which includes Rachael Ray, Paula Deen and The Cake Boss, as well as connect with Curry’s Millennial audience.

Meyer has also debuted a new color in Ayesha’s cast iron cookware collection, French vanilla. According to the company, several pieces are available in the new color, including a 10-inch skillet, 10-inch square grill pan with pour spouts and a 6-quart covered Dutch oven.

The cast iron collection is made from virgin iron ore and features a cooking surface of non-reactive black enamel porcelain. The pieces are also stain-resistant, easy to clean and are oven and broiler safe to 500º Fahrenheit. The handles are constructed from enamel cast iron and side handles are styled with a wide flare to make them easier to hold, said the company.
