The San Diego Convention Center has announced that it will now be closed for events until September. As a result, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores is unable to hold the 2020 Total Store Expo (TSE), which had been scheduled for August 8 to 10 at the convention center.
“NACDS continuously evaluated the prospect of presenting the Total Store Expo (TSE) that lives up to member expectations. Paramount to any decision was the health and safety of attendees. At the same time the very ability to hold TSE in San Diego was a dynamic that we had to monitor carefully. Well-being and practicality have been the subject of a multitude of conversations with appropriate officials,” stated NACDS.
In light of the unique situation, and NACDS’ member focus, NACDS will refund to members 100% of the funds paid to NACDS in connection with the Total Store Expo.
Looking forward, the NACDS board of directors emphasizes that its attention turns to the 2021 NACDS Total Store Expo, which will be held August 21-23 in Denver, CO. In addition, the association is already are planning for the NACDS Annual Meeting next year, April 24-27, 2021, at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida.
