The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has introduced a new mobile web-based application designed to improve and enhance attendees’ experience at the 2010 NACDS Marketplace Conference, which runs this weekend through June 8 at the San Diego Convention Center.
The app is free and provides detailed conference information including biographical information on speakers, an interactive map with routing information for booths, an exhibitor directory, and a personalized show schedule.
This app further enhances NACDS’ arsenal of social media communications resources to communicate on association activities, according to NACDS. The association utilizes Twitter to provide public policy information and earlier this year NACDS unveiled new website features designed to make it easier and quicker for retailers to find sales-boosting products.
“The new NACDS Marketplace Conference application is just one more tool in our communications toolbox to help us communicate effectively with the industry,” said NACDS senior vp/member programs and services, Jim Whitman. “The application provides a new and unique platform to leverage social media technology and create an even more vigorous conference experience that is consistent with our members’ priorities in creating effective tools for collaboration and innovation.”
