The National Hardware Show advised home improvement suppliers, retailers and other industry affiliates that show management is monitoring coronavirus developments and has implemented precautions ahead of the show, set for May 5-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The National Hardware Show, owned and operated by Reed Exhibitions, on March 4 sent the following notice to home improvement industry members:
Over the last few weeks, the National Hardware Show has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 virus and its impact on members of the global hardware and home improvement community, including the business disruptions caused by cancelled or postponed events. We understand the concerns of our customers and do not take them lightly.
The National Hardware Show believes in the importance of an industry gathering place and is committed to hosting the show as planned May 5-7, 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Please know that the health and safety of exhibitors, attendees, industry partners and staff is, and will always be, our number one priority. We are collaborating closely with the Las Vegas Convention Center and local public health authorities and following local, state and federal public health guidelines, including those issued by the CDC. If their advice and guidelines is updated, we will immediately let you know.
Details about our precautions are available in a statement at reedexhibitions.com.
As we countdown the weeks leading up to NHS, we’re continuing to see daily requests from manufacturers to book exhibit space on the show floor. We’re excited to make this an event not to be missed as we celebrate our 75th anniversary of connecting the industry!
In an effort to eliminate misinformation and be transparent we will be providing a weekly status update to ensure you have the most accurate information regarding NHS. Our entire industry has certainly been impacted at a global level— it’s now more important than ever to come together.
