Neiman Marcus has opened a new Manhattan location, which debuts at the new Hudson Yards retail and commercial development, with an emphasis on upscale customer experiences.
The 188,000 square foot store features curated products, unique services, an art collection and three dining options. It also incorporates boutique shops and services including the Cook & Merchant’s Kitchen, where demonstrations, tastings and mixology classes will be held.
Shoppers can connect with web-based stylists at a Digital Styling Lounge. To serve its clientele in style, the Hudson Yards store also operates a Personal Shopping Lounge.
On the cosmetic side, Memory Makeover mirrors record beauty demonstrations and make-up tutorials that can be texted and emailed to customers, while Sunglass Memory Mirror stations record and digitally compare up to four pair of sunglasses as they appear on users. Rockbot audio services allow customers to access and modify the store’s music playlist as if it were a digital jukebox. At each store entrance, digital directories provide shoppers an intuitive interface that provides them with a quick search of departments, vendor locations, in-store events and promotions.
“We’re thrilled to be introducing Neiman Marcus Hudson Yards as a continuation of our strategy to transform the Neiman Marcus brand into a digital luxury platform,” said Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO of Neiman Marcus Group. “This store recognizes our brand’s history and heritage while adapting to how the next generation of luxury customers shop. Neiman Marcus Hudson Yards will be all about providing physical and digital experiences in a way not seen at other stores, creating a personal customer experience that is seamless and magical.”
