New Furniture Exhibitors, Contest Augment Las Vegas Market

The Summer Las Vegas Market will feature a number of new furniture exhibitors as well as showroom relocations and expansions, and a contest, according to show host International Market Centers.

Permanent furniture segment newcomers include Allen Home as well as La-Z-Boy Casegoods, TOV Furniture, IDP Italia, Lievo, Casual Classics, Casa Solutions, Dwell Home, Porter International Designs and Homey Mattress. Twin-Star International is among those exhibitors expanding space.

Las Vegas Market’s furniture growth includes the casual category, and the market is promoting the expansion with a contest. Retailers and interior designers can enter to win one of 14 casual seating displays from vendors Agio, America’s Backyard, Ebel, Hanamint, Modway, OW Lee, Pelican Reef, Poly-Wood, Ratana, Scancom International/Northcape, South Sea Rattan, Sunset West, Telescope Casual and Zuo Modern. Retailers and designers can check out the displays in the Las Vegas World Market Center’s Grand Plaza during the show. To enter, retailers and designers have to visit the showroom of each company sponsoring the displays and drop a business card into a collection box. The selection of winners occurs on Wednesday, August 3.

“Furniture is a consistent high performer for us in Las Vegas,” said Scott Eckman, IMC’s evp/marketing furniture leasing. “The category continues to mature and evolve as we add greater depth— case goods, casual, more price points— and buyers appreciate the ability to have a complete shopping experience with an increasingly robust and comprehensive offering.”

The Las Vegas Market will be held July 31 to August 4.
