New Kinpo Group Launches Connected Beauty Mirror

New Kinpo Group has launched HiMirror, a connected beauty mirror.

According to the company, the WiFi and Bluetooth-enabled mirror is a new approach to daily beauty, offering in-depth, personalized skin care analysis based on the evolving condition of the user’s skin, in addition to local weather conditions and other factors.

By taking a makeup-free photo with the mirror’s integrated high-resolution camera, the mirror is said to detect dark spots, red spots, dark eye circles, wrinkles, pores, fine lines and other complexion elements. From this data it creates a personalized skin index synthesis report and an evaluation of skin firmness, brightness, texture, clarity and overall healthiness.

With the mirror’s connected features it can also display the local weather, sync with Google calendar and play Spotify. Using facial and voice recognition capabilities, the mirror also can assist multiple family members, tracking their individual skin needs and recommendations. The mirror also comes with a mobile app.

The mirror is humidity-resistant and can be installed in a bathroom, closet or bedroom walkway, affixing to a wall or another mirror. Accessories being rolled out along with the mirror include a smart body scale, which allows users to measure their weight, body mass index, body fat, water level content, muscle mass, bone weight, resting metabolism and body type.

HiMirror will be available exclusively on the company’s website with a suggested retail price of $189 for the standard mirror and $259 for the mirror with multi-ambiance makeup light. The smart body scale has a suggested retail price of $79.
