New Lamps From Kathy Ireland, PCL Support Global Education

Pacific Coast Lighting and kathy ireland Worldwide have established a partnership with The School Fund, a global education nonprofit, to help students living in low-income countries attend high school. As part of the Light for Education partnership, the non-profit announced, original artwork from students supported by The School Fund will become the basis of designs for a new kiWW lampshade line currently rolling out.

Proceeds from sales of the lamps will fund student scholarships in the 13 developing countries the organization supports.

“It is a privilege to experience young geniuses creatively expressing their design talents for the Light for Education Campaign with The School Fund and Pacific Coast Lighting,” Kathy Ireland, kiWW CEO and a member of The School Fund advisory board, said in comments on the announcement, “Matt Severson of The School Fund and Clark Linstone at Pacific Coast Lighting have collaborated to give these students an opportunity to share their gifts with the world. At a time when Arts Programs in schools are underfunded and when financial needs for children and education are great, programs such as this one make a tremendous difference. Please visit and join our family and colleagues all over the world in supporting the wonderful work of The School Fund art project from PCL.”

Clark Linstone, Pacific Coast Lighting president, stated, “We’re very excited about the partnership. As the manufacturer for the kathy ireland Home Collection, we’re delighted that our capacity to produce custom-printed lamp shades can be utilized to help fulfill the dreams of students across the world.”

Around the world, The School Fund noted, more than 71 million children cannot attend high school because they live in poverty. However, in countries where most people live on less than $1 a day, each year of schooling translates into a 10% increase in an individual’s potential income.
