In an effort to enhance the company’s ability to provide a seamless and compelling experience everywhere customers want to shop, Nordstrom is adding two more of its Nordstrom Local service hubs, one each in Newport Beach and Manhattan Beach, CA.
The 1,193 square foot Newport Beach Nordstrom Local opens November 6, and the 1,886 square foot Manhattan Beach Nordstrom Local opens sometime in the coming months, the retailer stated. Both will provide a closer, more convenient touchpoint for online customers, who, by visiting a Local hub, can access their favorite convenient services including curbside pickup, tailoring and alterations, order pick-up, easy returns and styling.
Nordstrom already has rolled out the Local concept into its top 10 markets: Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Washington D.C./Baltimore. Nordstrom customers who shop through Local hubs spend up to two and a half times more than average, the retailer asserted.
How Nordstrom is integrating various store concepts, part of the company’s strategic approach to growth, is evident in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, where the company operates 14 full-line stores, 30 Rack stores and now five Locals with the addition of the two new locations.
