Newell Brands has appointed Christine (Chris) Robins as the new business unit CEO for appliances and cookware. She joins Newell from Char-Broil, a global leader in the outdoor cooking lifestyle category, where she served as president and CEO.
Prior to Char-Broil, Robins was president and CEO of BodyMedia (later acquired by Jawbone). She also was business unit CEO at Philips Oral Healthcare where she scaled the Philips Sonic toothbrush. Her early career was spent at SC Johnson.
Robins will focus on driving innovation and growth for the appliances and cookware business as well as complexity reduction. Part of the unit’s long-term strategy includes a focus on talent development to realize the full potential of the business, the company said.
