To lead the acceleration of online revenue growth worldwide, Newell Rubbermaid announced that it has appointed Jeremy Liebowitz to the newly created position of vp/global e-commerce. Liebowitz had been vp/digital commerce and marketing for Jarden Corp., where he achieved significant online revenue growth multiples over five years, Newell Rubbermaid stated.
“E-commerce is our single biggest growth opportunity and an area where we expect to make substantial investments under Jeremy’s leadership,” said Mark Tarchetti, Newell Rubbermaid’s chief development officer. “In this highly visible and collaborative role, Jeremy will focus on maximizing our online commercial presence with existing customers and developing a long-term channel strategy to drive growth.”
Before Jarden, Liebowitz held e-commerce positions at Limited Brands, Inc. and TracFone Wireless, Newell Rubbermaid noted. The company has charged him with developing a comprehensive global strategy and ensuring the appropriate tools, work plans and organization development are in place to create a step change. Newell Rubbermaid pointed out that it expects close cooperation with customer development leaders to improve Newell Rubbermaid’s offering.
