The NPD Group’s Home division presented its seventh annual industry performance awards virtually during a webinar March 17.
Awards were given to small appliance and housewares (non-electrics) brands with the largest increase in U.S. market share among key categories in 2019, compared to 2018, according to dollar sales from NPD’s Retail Tracking Service. This year four additional awards were presented to brands with the largest increase in overall kitchen electric and housewares market share in U.S. and Canada.
“Consumers are investing in enhancing their in-home experience, but they are also demanding more from the products they choose to spend on,” said Lora Morsovillo, president of NPD’s U.S. home practice. “It’s important to recognize the market leaders who are driving our industry forward and standing out in today’s ever-changing retail environment. Congratulations to all of the winners— you are meeting the growing demands of today’s consumer.”
