NY Now has named the winners of the Accent on Design Awards, which recognizes product design excellence, innovation and creativity among its Accent on Design exhibitors, a juried collection of contemporary designers and their products currently on display.
The winter 2018 Accent on Design Award winners are:
Hawkins New York: Hawkins New York creates luxurious, accessible and responsibly sourced home goods with a modern sensibility in design. The committee highlighted the product collection in the booth but also the way in which everything was thoughtfully displayed and showcased, according to the show.
Product Design Innovation
Closca: Closca harnesses the innovation and technology to create products that are said to integrate seamlessly into society. In particular, the combination of unique functionality and design of both the Closca Helmet and Closca Bottle stood out to the judging committee, according to the show.

Haptic Lab: Based in Brooklyn, Haptic Lab designs quilts, kites, and other items that explore the tactile sense. New for the winter market, Haptic Lab is showing its Flying Martha Ornithopter, a reinterpretation of a classic toy.
